sara de baere
administration & adult section leader
sarad@the-harbor.net
When she's not cooking African curry for a large out-of-town team that the Harbor is hosting, Sara De Baere likes to manage all of the church's finances using the latest church management software.  Originally from Belgium but with roots in the States, Sara is a Gordon graduate and a recent graduate of Gordon-Conwell's masters in counseling program.  Aside from her administrative duties at the church, Sara enjoys leading women's faithgroups and equipping women with the discipleship & healing resources they need.  Always up for a day of kayaking, Sara can often be found in the chilly waters of Beverly Harbor.

ben forsberg
youth intern
benf@the-harbor.net
Everyone is familiar with the story of Peter Pan. Ben Forsberg is slowly becoming a modern day version of the green-tighted youngster.  Like Pan, Ben never wants to grow up, which explains why he became a youth ministry major.  Born in 1987, Ben hails from the great state of Delaware. When he was younger, he enjoyed TV shows such as Dick Tracy, the Ninja Turtles, and Home Improvement.  Somehow he graduated from Gordon College with a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry and Biblical studies and was given the wonderful opportunity to be the Youth Intern at the Harbor...which means he never has to act his age.  Besides following his passion for introducing young people to Jesus, he enjoys playing Yahtzee and occasionally throwing darts.  His favorite soda is Sunkist, and if you don’t like Sunkist, he would like you to know:  your taste buds are broken, go see the doctor.  And if you think the volume of the worship music is too loud, it is probably his fault. To conclude, he wants to be like Josh Sturgeon when he grows up.

sarah fulton
administration & college section leader
sarahf@the-harbor.net
Once Sarah realized that her dreams of Olympic gold medals were a little more out of reach than she had thought at first, she decided to settle down in beautiful Beverly.  Originally from Simsbury, CT, Sarah came to Boston's North Shore by way of Gordon College where she majored in social work and then more recently got her Master's in social work at Salem State College.  Besides being one of the administrators at the Harbor, she also is a leader in the college section.  Her passions include the discipleship of college girls and seeing people (including herself) experience the freedom of love of God.  She also loves to sing with the worship team.  Sarah can usually be found in a local coffee shop or playing volleyball in- and out-of-doors, making the most of the wonderful North Shore where she resides.

neil & kelsey hubacker
lead pastors
neilh@the-harbor.net, kelseyh@the-harbor.net
Kelsey is definitely the better half of this couple...I mean, just look at her.  Originally from Walpole, and having earned a communications degree from Northeastern, Kelsey came up to the North Shore to follow Neil on his little "honey why don't we plant a church" adventure.   She loves sunflowers, the beach, caffeine free Pepsi, Dunkin' Donuts, making amazing meals, bearing children, sending novel-length thank you cards, and always saying positive and wise things about everyone, especially boys from Needham.  Neil hails from Needham, and with degrees from Baylor University and Boston University, he is delighted that his life is greatly simplified by the fact that both institutions are referred to as "BU" by their respective alumni.  Having helped plant the Harbor's sending church (Community of Faith Christian Fellowship of Brighton), and while teaching at Newton North High School, Neil met Kelsey in their capacities as YoungLife leaders in Newton.  Neil & Kelsey are honored to know and walk alongside the wonderful people of The Harbor.

jim & bonnie merriam
children's coordinators
jimm@the-harbor.net, bonniem@the-harbor.net
Bonnie has a heart for people; she loves spending time meeting with women or hanging out with friends.  At The Harbor, she works with the children in the AHOY! children's ministry.  She and her husband Jim love spending time outdoors, being active in whatever each season has to offer, whether boogie boarding at Singing Beach or sledding at Independence Park.  Growing up in upstate New York contributed greatly to Bonnie's love for the outdoors.  When not at The Harbor, Bonnie spends her time teaching Pre-K at Park Street Kids in Boston and completing her master's degree at Gordon College to become a reading specialist.

Jim has been on the Harbor’s leadership team since he and his wife Bonnie moved to the North Shore in May of 2007.  He pioneered in getting the worship team up and running when The Harbor was in its early stages, and now he enjoys leading worship occasionally as well as running the audio/visual systems for the Sunday morning celebration service.  Jim also enjoys helping Bonnie with the AHOY! children’s ministry.  He graduated from Gordon College in 2006 with a degree in psychology and is currently pursuing a masters degree in counseling from Gordon Conwell.  In the meantime, Jim pays the bills by working as a social worker with Family Continuity.  Raised in western Mass, not far from upstate New York, Jim also fell in love with sports and the great outdoors.  In the summer months you might find Jim camping, on the beach, or camping on the beach.  Jim looks forward to meeting all who visit the Harbor.

megan pelletier
college section leader
meganp@the-harbor.net
Megan is a native New Englander, having growing up in Walpole, MA.  She is a graduate of Northeastern University's Nursing School and is currently working as a charter school nurse.  Her dream is to one day open a free clinic for the underserved people in the North Shore.  Megan helps out with college ministry at Salem State and loves challenging women to grow deeper in their relationship with God through discipleship. She loves to travel and meet new people and is always up for an adventure.

beth price
NAVIGATE staff
bethp@the-harbor.net
Beth Price coordinates the Harbor’s church-planting and missions training school, Navigate.  An Ohio native, she’s lived in the Boston area for five years, and can now be observed in her adopted natural habitat, the Beverly coffee shop.   There Beth sits for hours, nursing a mug of coffee or tea, while she grades stacks of essays written by eager architectural college students, or scribbles down sentences for her current novel, or types up changes to the Navigate Training School syllabus on her ill-tempered laptop.   She received her Master of Fine Arts from Emerson College in Creative Writing, but also loves to paint and draw.  Beth often creates worship-paintings during the Harbor’s celebration services, and will gladly put off grading to go painting on the beach.

john prickett
college pastor
johnp@the-harbor.net
John Prickett hails from Yardley, Pennsylvania, which is about half an hour from a legit Philly cheese steak.  Yardley is where John’s passion for sports was nurtured (especially for basketball and backyard football), but a beach town in New Jersey called Ocean Grove is where John’s love for all things related to the beach began.  In 2006 John graduated from Gordon College where he studied the Bible and theology as well as business administration (and no…he does not have ambitions to be a Bible salesman…), and by spring of 2010 John will have earned his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell.  As college pastor, you will often see John meeting with students as they dream together about God’s purposes for their lives, their colleges, and the world.  It is John’s contention that these world-impacting conversations are best done over some fresh brewed coffee or a tender roast beef sandwich from either Nick’s or Sammy’s.  If you happen to see John utilizing Panera’s free wi-fi, there is a good chance he will either be reading about what is happening around the world, updating his fantasy football team on ESPN.com, or checking the surf report on magicseaweed.com.  John LOVES meeting new people so don’t be shy about saying hello and introducing yourself….it will make his day!

josh & erica sturgeon
worship pastors
 ericas@the-harbor.net, joshs@the-harbor.net
Born in Chicago, Erica moved to Guatemala city at 2 months old and lived there until she was 19.  A native Guatemalan, she graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2008 with a B.A. in Government and a concentration in international relations. She is starting a program in medical interpreting this fall, and plans to continue her education next year with a master's in nonprofit management. She is the wife of Joshua Sturgeon and currently helps with administrative work at The Harbor. She loves being a part of a community were she has an opportunity to use some of her skills in expanding the kingdom of God.  She has a passion for justice, mercy, and compassion to be shown to all mankind, and she wants to work to see it happen.  She enjoys board games, hosting people, dancing, traveling, and meeting people of different cultures around the world.

A native to New England, Josh's interests are as diverse as the weather patterns he observed growing up!  If he isn't sipping black coffee in the local shop, he is probably surfing the North Shore waves without regard for the air temperature.  Having already released two albums, and with a third in process, Josh has a passion for songwriting.  As the Harbor's worship pastor, Josh has a vision to see people of many backgrounds encounter the Living God through a life-posture of worship.  A third-year Masters of Divinity student at Gordon-Conwell, Josh lives in Beverly and is the proud and committed husband of his wife, Erica.
