Statement of Faith
- We believe in one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Romans 1:20).
- We believe in God the Father, creator of all things visible and invisible (Genesis 1, Colossians 1:15-16).
- We believe
in Jesus, God’s only begotten Son, fully divine and fully human,
conceived by the Holy Spirit, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his
miracles, his substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through the
shedding of his blood on the cross, his bodily resurrection, his
ascension into heaven, his present rule at the right hand of God, and
his coming return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead
(John 1:1-2, John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 1:20-23, 1
Timothy 3:16, 2 Timothy 4:1).
- We believe
in the Holy Spirit, his present ministry, his indwelling, his baptism,
his empowering, his impartation of gifts for today, and his
transforming power in the lives of all believers (Acts 1:8, 1
Corinthians 12:4-11, Galatians 5:22-23, 2 Peter 1:3-11).
- We believe
the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, living, eternally reliable
word of God and is a daily necessity in the lives of all believers (2
Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Peter 1:23-25).
- We believe
that all mankind is in need of redemption from sin and is eternally
separated from God apart from salvation in Jesus (Isaiah 59:2, Romans
3:32, Romans 6:23).
- We believe
that salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus. Salvation
is made effective in an individual’s life by personal repentance and
surrender. Upon surrender, we are regenerated by the Holy Spirit,
enter into a process of sanctification and look forward to
glorification (Acts 2:38, Romans 5:1, Romans 8:29-30, 1 Corinthians
15:51-57, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 1 Thessalonians
5:23-24).
- We believe that
all people are resurrected, the saved to eternal relationship with God,
the unsaved to eternal destruction (1 Corinthians 15:51-57, 2
Thessalonians 1:5-10, Revelation).
- We believe
in one holy universal church made up of all true believers.
Christ is the head of the church. Every member is gifted and
necessary for the building up of the church and one another. We
believe in the spiritual unity of all believers (1 Corinthians 6:15, 1
Corinthians 12:21-31, Ephesians 2:19-22, Ephesians 4:4, 11-16).
- We believe
in the Lord’s supper and believer’s baptism as acts of our obedience
and a testimony of our faith (Mark 3:6, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 2
Corinthians 11:23-29).
- We believe
in the reality and ministry of angels and in the reality and opposition
of Satan and demonic forces (Job 1:7, Daniel, 2 Corinthians 11:14,
Ephesians 6:10, Hebrews 1:14).
