An inside look...

I've been so blessed to be part of the harbor from the very beginning! It's awesome and incredible to see how God is faithful! He's continually met our needs, and gone beyond them in ways we could not imagine. The Harbor stirs me to reach out to all people who are in need, not only in words but in action and in deeds also, wanting to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

I'm really excited to see what God has in store for us in the future. It's not always easy, but he always comes through in ways that you can never imagine! I believe God is wanting to plant a community of both old and young and where people in all different circumstances of life can worship together. I'm excited to see a true community built up, one where everyone feels welcome, and one where local college students will be able to be planted into their surrounding community.

I have been both impressed and moved during my times at the Harbor at the simplicity of simply loving God wholeheartedly and loving His children in the same fashion.  There is such a humility present there that is so contagious!  For example...I have never experienced a church plant that sets as a priority to pray for the other local churches already doing ministry in the area.  That is a strong testimony as to the pure heart driving this new church!
 
I see a bright and world-changing future for The Harbor.  I absolutely love the fact that the leadership along with the leadership at CFCF have the vision to not only send out its members on a short-term trips immediately, but also begin training members for the long-term through the creation of the training school in the first two years.  That is an incredible model for the church that Jesus Christ commanded us to establish and foster!"

True community is something hard to find. Our society impresses on us this goal of independence and need to do things on our own, when truth is this world can be a hard place.  It’s an amazing luxury to be able to share life with people that have a common vision of living out the gospel of Jesus Christ and making His love known to those around them and to each other. As a current college student, church planting seemed like a far off dream of the future.  However, when God calls us to things He generally opens all the doors to get us there.  It has been an amazing journey thus far seeing first hand the sovereignty of God and I look forward to how He is going to move here.
